DO YOU REALLY COMPLY ???

IMPORTANT QUOTES

"...larger building owners and managers are aware of the requirements for emergency planning, but don't use it directly. This sector tends to engage consultants to address regulatory and loss prevention requirements. A frequent problem is the wide range of knowledge and experience among fire safety consultants."

"...smaller building owners and managers are the most likely to be chronic offenders of emergency planning compliance. This was identified as a lack of awareness of the requirements and raised a communications need. The key areas of information need for this sector are the establishment of emergency plans, and the proper inspection and maintenance of fire protection systems."

"...emergency planning has a low presence among industrial building owners and operators. Most small and medium sized companies depend on the consulting industry to tell them how to meet regulatory requirements and the code requirements is not always enforced locally. Large manufacturers utilize the code where it is law, but at the same time they have to meet the requirements of insurers who enforce their own property protection/loss control measures."

A Message from Global Fire Prevention Inc.

The Building Fire Safety Planning System is designed for ALL buildings regardless of where you call home and whether or not your buildings are regulated by various regulations, codes or standards. The program is designed to educate anyone, anywhere on proper emergency planning and prevention requirements. This results in a much safer building for all concerned.

Smaller, unregulated buildings are at more of a risk from fire losses than regulated buildings.

It is only good common sense that a business owner would protect his or her property, occupants and contents from fire and other emergencies.

Does Your Emergency Plan Really Meet The Requirements?

Statistics show that most buildings do not have a proper emergency plan. Ask yourself; If I have a plan, does it really meet all the requirements? If it does not meet all the requirements, you may be liable and suffer civil suits from injured parties.

Every workplace and the people it contains should be protected by an effective emergency plan, regardless of legal obligations.

A plan should be designed to enable an immediate and appropriate response to any emergency before the arrival of professional emergency services. In this way the risk to life and property is minimized.

Global Fire Prevention's - Building Fire Safety Planning System (BFSPS) allows your organization and its' management to meet your legal, moral, corporate and individual obligations, toward the safety of employees and others.

Ask yourself these questions.

  • Do I have an effective emergency plan?

  • How safe is my workplace really?

  • Does my plan include an ongoing in-house education program for all occupants?

  • Does it include a Safety Organization, which describes specifically what each person is responsible for and what their duties are?

  • Are my staff / occupants aware of fire safety and prevention requirements?

  • Does my plan include a simple, clear and concise plan of action for dealing with an emergency situation and occupant evacuation?

  • Does my plan include identification and active monitoring and control of fire hazards?

  • Do I provide proper fire prevention requirements?

  • Do I have contingencies in place for all emergencies that may affect me?

  • Does my plan include the proper maintenance and testing of fire related equipment on a regular basis? (Daily, Weekly, Monthly)

  • Is my plan clearly posted for occupant and public viewing?

  • Are evacuation procedures prominently posted throughout my building?

  • Does my plan allow for the special needs of the mobility impaired?

  • Do I conduct the required evacuation drills as part of my plan?

  • Do I update and discuss my plan on a regular basis with appropriate staff and authorities?

  • Is my building really meeting all the fire & safety regulations, codes and standards?

If you answered NO to any of the above questions, you do not meet the requirements
for an effective emergency plan. If you don't meet the requirements, you
and your occupants are in danger.

Now ask yourself these very important questions.

1. How much would my business lose from an emergency incident?

2. Who would be affected?

3. Would my business survive?

4. Would I lose valuable employees to other businesses, while you rebuild?

5. Would I lose valuable customers to other businesses, if I couldn't provide services?

6. Would I be held liable in a court of law if someone was injured or died as a result of the incident?

Don't be like those other businesses.
They weren't prepared and now they aren't in business.

If you already have an Emergency Plan, Fire Safety Plan or an Evacuation Plan but they don't meet all of the requirements, it can be easily absorbed into the software, which will assure your compliance.
